Chisinau-based Mihai Eminescu National Theatre makes tour to Romania

Chisinau, 13 November /MOLDPRES/ - The Mihai Eminescu National Theatre from Chisinau has returned from a tour made to the Buzau and Brasov cities of Romania on 4-11 November.
Contacted by MOLDPRES, the director of the theatre, Petru Hadarca, said that, on 4-8 November, the troupe of the Mihai Eminescu National Theatre had been in Buzau, at an invitation by the city’s mayor Constantin Toma. In Buzau, they presented three plays, The Nameless Star by Mihail Sebastian, stage management of Alexandru Cozub, Balamucul vesel (The Joyful Confusion) by S.T. Burke, stage management of Petru Hadarca and the play În ochii tăi fermecători (In Your Charming Eyes) by Gib Mihaescu, stage management of Alexandru Vasilachi.
”The plays were performed at the Chisinau for Buzau theatre festival, at its first issue. Our tour coincided with the inauguration of the theatre hall Vladimir Maximilian. The plays were presented with packed house and some spectators said they had specially come from Bucharest to see our plays,” Petru Hadarca added.
On 11 November, the Chisinau-based Mihai Eminescu National Theatre presented the play, In Your Charming Eyes by Gib Mihaescu at the International Festival of Contemporary Theatre from Brasov. The theatre from Chisinau got the grand prize at the same festival with this play in 2017 and this year, according to the tradition, the theatre participated as special guest in the awarding of prizes.
