Chisinau, 14 November /MOLDPRES/ - Representatives of Moldova’s Democratic Party (PDM) today submitted 100,000 signatures to support a petition for “carrying out verifications concerning eventual relations of the former governance of the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM), leader of the Dignity and Truth Platform Party (PPDA), Andrei Nastase, and the one of the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS), Maia Sandu, with the bank fraud.”
According to a PDM’s press release, the petition was submitted by the Democrats’ deputy secretary general, MP Eugen Nichiforciuc.
„We are confident that the European organizations will take into account the wish of those more than 100,000 Moldovan citizens and will objectively analyze this theft of the billion and who really benefited from the sums of money,” Nichiforciuc said.
The petition reads that “the preliminary investigations on the bank fraud from 2013-2014 showed that the illegal financial schemes took place including on the territory of the European Union. The need of an investigation, including at the European level, results from here,” the communiqué released by PDM also reads.
The petition also demands “carrying out of verifications at the European level about the relations of the Open Dialogue Foundation with the PAS and PPDA leaders, Maia Sandu and Andrei Nastase.”
