Chisinau, 14 November /MOLDPRES/ – At the beginning of the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, Prime Minister, Pavel Filip, referred to the case that occurred on 13 November in Straseni city, where four children and one adult were attacked by a race dog, unattended by the owner. As a result, the persons were transported urgently to the local hospital, the government's Communication and protocol department has reported.
"Surely, the physical injuries heal, the question is what happens psychologically with these children which will live all their lives with fear," said Pavel Filip. In this context, the head of the executive mentioned the importance of preventing such cases and asked the Ministry of Interior (MAI) to come up with solutions to change legislation and increase the safety of citizens.
"We have to pay special attention to what is happening in our parks, where we know there are many which are walking around with dogs without a muzzle, race dogs, which can become violent at any time. I believe that the conditions for the owners have to be toughened, but also to increase the fines if many of them do not understand the responsibility and endanger the health and the life of children or other people", concluded PM.
