Good Roads for Moldova programme carried out at about 95 per cent

Chisinau, 15 November /MOLDPRES/- The Good Roads for Moldova programme was achieved at a rate of about 95 percent. Thus, on 1,100 km of roads, out of over 1,200 km included in the program, the works have already been done, and about 90 km of road - in the work.

At the same time, 1.45 billion lei, out of 1.6 billion lei, had been spent so far for the works. The districts in which the modernization of all the routes set in the program was completed are: Basarabeasca, Briceni, Cahul, Cantemir, Criuleni, Donduseni, Drochia, Dubasari, Edinet, Leova, Orhei, Nisporeni, Stefan Voda and Taraclia.

Minister of Economy and Infrastructure Chiril Gaburici convened a meeting with entrepreneurs who are to carry out works.

“Thank you for the work and effort made in implementing this program. We are on the last hundred meters, we must mobilize and finish all the work as soon as possible,” he said.

Entrepreneurs reported on the last sections of the road due to be rehabilitated and pledged to conduct quality work and on time.

The Good Roads for Moldova programme provides for the rehabilitation of 1,200 km of local roads in 1,200 localities. The total amount of investments is 1.6 billion lei. At the same time, the process of collecting proposals for the road sectors due to be included in the Good Roads 2 for Moldova programme started. According to the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure, about 2,600 km of road will be renovated next year.
