Students in hostels to have better living conditions

Chisinau, 15 November /MOLDPRES/- All hostels subordinated to state educational institutions will be additionally equipped with washing machines, clothes dryers, computers connected to the Internet free of charge, bathrooms and sports halls. The government approved a new Regulation to ensure the proper functioning of the hostels and better living conditions for young people. At the same time, the administration of the hostels will provide access and living conditions for people with disabilities, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

Also, the document sees modification of the access regime to hostels of the state higher education institutions - access is ensured permanently. At the same time, the requirement to switch off light after 24:00 is excluded - it will be done only in common use rooms. At the same time, students will be allowed to connect additional lighting and heating objects.

No later than three weeks before the start of student accommodation, the accommodation commissions will be required to broadcast on the institution's website, on a mandatory basis, information on the number of accommodation places for each hostel and allocation criteria.
