Chisinau, 15 November /MOLDPRES/ - The Public Services Agency (ASP) is the first institution of Moldova accredited with international anti-bribery certificate ISO 37001. The certificate was issued following control made by international institutions, which found out that ASP was implementing policies which exclude the possibility of bribing. Today, ASP inaugurated the 35th multifunctional centre in the northern Drochia town, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
Prime Minister Pavel Filip stressed that it was important to exclude any possibility of bribery and the modernization of public services and creation of comfort for citizens remained a basic priority of the government. “The institutions have all needed information and we should not turn our citizens into postmen, to put them in absolutely uncomfortable situations. You will see that people save money and time, as they will no longer have to go to more institutions to take a certificate from one institution and carry it to another one,” Pavel Filip said.
The opening of multi-functional centres generated savings for the business environment and the citizens. For instance, following the cancellation of the compulsoriness to get a criminal record, people saved more than 200,000 lei. “I am absolutely sure that we will achieve this ambitious goal we have, so that till 2020, Moldova’s citizens no longer need certificates, but only the identity card,” the prime minister added.
The Drochia-based centre will provide services according to the principles of single window to over 75,000 residents of the district. A novelty for the business people of the region is possibility to register at the Drochia enterprise and get permissive acts, without moving to Chisinau or Balti. Also, citizens will have possibility to register by scheduling from the mobile phone and get a virtual ticket, which is now in testing regime. At the same time, the queues will be streamlined with the help of a new service – concierge, which will allow virtually monitoring the flow of people.
Thirty eight multifunctional centres of the Public Services Agency have been opened in Moldova in all, of which 35 in districts and three - in Chisinau.
