Over 200 buildings in Moldovan capital without heating yesterday

Chisinau, 16 November /MOLDPRES/- Over 200 apartment buildings in Ciocana district of the capital remained yesterday without heating and hot water, following damage to the thermal network.
Chisinau city hall announced this morning that the problem was resolved, and the delivery of the heat and hot water was resumed.
The head of the communication and public relations service of Termoelectrica company, Elena Junghina, said that 2,692 out of 2,710 blocks of flats have been connected to the thermal agent since the beginning of the heating season. "18 buildings remain unconnected, as heat delivery is not required. At the same time, 59 buildings of medical institutions, 140 schools, 131 kindergartens, 620 economic units, 80 buildings of higher education institutions and 183 private houses were connected to heat,” Junghina said.
Before connecting to the heating, administrators must present technical passports on the preparatory work for connection.
Termoelectrica company annually provides 4,500 buildings, of which 2,900 are dwelling houses (over 208 thousand apartments), 870 economic agents, 140 kindergartens, 160 schools and high schools, 70 medical institutions and 90 higher education institutions.
This year, in Chisinau, the heating season started on 15 October.
