Famous Moldovan singer gives concert at National Philharmonic

Chisinau, 16 November /MOLDPRES/ - An anniversary concert by singer Silvia Goncear took place at the Chisinau-based Serghei Lunchevici National Philharmonic on 15 November. The event was occasion by the singer’s 55th birthday anniversary and the 30th anniversary of work.     

More well-known folk music singers, accompanied by the Folclor folk music orchestra, conducted by Petre Neamtu, performed at the concert.  

Contacted by MOLDPRES, Silvia Goncear said: “I am happy that, in the last time, my disciples have recorded performances. We organized this festival at the National Philharmonic, which is a citadel of culture. Quality concerts always take place here.”   

For his part, conductor Petre Neamtu said that Silvia Goncear is a singer who chooses her repertoire with much love and scrupulousness. “She is very industrious and insistent, namely therefore she succeeds much. I am happy to have her by my side as director of the Folclor folk music orchestra,” Neamtu noted.  

Silvia Goncear was born in the Tabara village, central Orhei district, on 15 November 1963. In 1979, she finished the village school and then the pedagogical school from Calarasi (1979-1983) and the Chisinau-based State Conservatoire, the department of Actors of Musical Comedy (1984-1989). During 1983-1984, Goncear worked as teacher of music at the school No 1 from the Telenesti town and starting from 1989 till 1991, - as actress at the Ginta Latina Revue Theatre. In 2007, she got the Grand Prize at a festival and contest of sentimental songs  „Crizantema de Argint” (The Silver Chrysanthemum), the 15th issue, and in the same year – the Octav Enigarescu  prize of the Targoviste (Romania) city hall at the Silver Chrysanthemum  Contest (Targoviste). In 2007, Goncear edited the first CD of sentimental songs named, Sentimental Songs Chrysanthemums, accompanied by the Folclor folk music orchestra, conducted by Petre Neamtu, in 2008 – the second CD – Love Sentimental Song and in 2013 – the third CD with sentimental songs, waltzes, tangos. All CDs were edited by the Electrecord Disc Home (Bucharest). In 2013, Silvia Goncear was awarded the honorific title of Merited Artist.
