Euro, dollar to get dearer against Moldovan currency early upcoming week

Chisinau, 16 November /MOLDPRES/ – The euro (EUR) and dollar (USD) will be more expensive at the beginning of upcoming week, according to the official exchange rates presented by the National Bank of Moldova (BNM) today.

Thus, the EUR is priced for MDL 0,07. It will cost MDL 19,38. The dollar is quoted at MDL 17,10, after adding MDL 0,03.

The Romanian leu (RON) is appreciated with MDL 0,01, up to the quote of MDL 04,15. The Russian rouble (RUB) will have an official price of MDL 0,25, similar like today. The same will happen with the Ukrainian hryvnia (UAH), which will remain at the level of MDL 0,61.

According to the data presented today by the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure (MEI), since the beginning of 2018 the national currency (MDL) has appreciated by 1.4 per cent against USD in nominal terms (from MDL 17.10 for $1 on 01 January to MDL 16, 86 on 30 September 2018). Compared to €1, MDL has appreciated by 3.2 per cent, according to official data.
