Deputy PM attends ninth congress of public association Chernobyl Union of Moldova

Chisinau, 16 November /MOLDPRES/ – Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration, Cristina Lesnic, has attended the Ninth Congress of Public Association Moldova Chernobyl Union today, the office for reintegration policy’s information and media communication service has reported.  

In the report of Association, issued by President Tudor Capatana, there were raised several issues regarding the provision of medicines and access to quality healthcare for veterans, decent pensions and housing, construction of a public memorial dedicated to victims the catastrophe of Chernobyl atomic power plant, promotion of memory throughout cultural and sporting events and approval of new Association anthem.

In her speech, deputy PM, Cristina Lesnic, paid tribute to those ones which participated in liquidation of consequences of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster, expressing gratitude for manhood and sacrifice manifested for the benefit of future generations, while mentioning the continued support of the Moldovan Government to ensures the protection and support of the affected persons and reiterated that such measures would have a continuity.
