Master photographer Nicolae Raileanu passed away

Chisinau, 19 November /MOLDPRES/- Well-known photographer Nicolae Raileanu, collaborator of the National Museum of Literature Dimitrie Cantemir, Master of Art, died yesterday at the age of 68.
He was born on 3 December 1950 in the village of Cobusca Veche, Anenii Noi district.
He worked as a photographer at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the RSSM. From 4 June 1975 until the end of his life, he worked as a photographer, then head of a photographic laboratory at the Dimitrie Cantemir Museum.
In 2000, Raileanu was awarded the Mihai Eminescu Medal, and in 2015 – the Master of Arts.
The head of the Writers’ Union of Moldova, Arcadie Suceveanu, said that Raileanu was a chronicler of literary life and a true master photographer, who gathered a giant archive of writers' lives.
