Moldovan, Turkish audit institutions sign memorandum of understanding

Chisinau, 20 November /MOLDPRES/- A Memorandum of Understanding was signed yesterday between the Court of Accounts of Moldova (CCRM) and the Turkish Court of Accounts (CCT). The document was signed in Istanbul and confirms the intention of the two institutions to increase the effectiveness of external public audit.
Under the memorandum, the two institutions will exchange experience in methodology and procedures for public external audit and ensure staff training. At the same time, it sees the exchange of information and the conduct of consultations, joint research and parallel audits.
The document was signed by Veaceslav Untila, CCRM head, and Seyit Ahmet Bash, CCT head, in the context of organizing an informal meeting of the Governing Board of the European Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions EUROSAI. Its members discussed issues on development of EUROSAI and observance of fundamental working principles, a press release by CCRM reads.
In June 2014, the CCRM became a member of the EUROSAI Management Board for a six-year term.
