Moldovan authorities launch country brand for attracting investments

Chisinau, 20 November /MOLDPRES/ - The authorities today presented the country brand for attracting investments with the slogan Grow in Moldova. The brand is dedicated to the foreign capital in Moldova and represents a natural evolution of the national tourism brand, The Tree of Life. The launch took place in the context of the organization of the fifth issue of the Moldova Business Week in Chisinau on 27-29 November.
According to the concept unveiled by the Investments Agency, the ornament contains symbols dealing with the Moldovan wine, fruits, culture, hospitality and traditions. They will be completed with another five symbols characterizing strategic sectors of the national economy. They refer to the light industry, automotive, information technologies, connectivity and growth.
Economics and Infrastructure Minister Chiril Gaburici said that Moldova, as sales market and market of attracting investments, had more advantages, among which there is the geographical position and the free trade agreements signed with more states. “Moldova has access to a market of almost one billion consumers, a mild fiscal regime, a stable economic growth and it provides substantial facilities to foreign entrepreneurs willing to invest into an emerging market,” the minister noted.
„We were lucky to get an inheritance called The Tree of Life, developed for the tourism brand of Moldova, which had an invitation to discover our country. What we present you is a brand-umbrella, under which all our joint efforts will be brought – of the state, business environment, citizens, Diaspora – to promote Moldova, in order to attract foreign capital,” the director general of the Investments Agency, Rodica Verbeniuc, said.
The country brand for attracting investments is to be found not only in governmental projects. The Logo could be used, under the law, by Moldovan entrepreneurs who participate in international events, as well as by organizers of private business events, in order to enhance Moldova’s investment attractiveness.
