Chisinau, 21 November /MOLDPRES/- Three localities in two districts of the country remain partially disconnected from electricity after strong snowfall two days ago.
The press officer of the General Inspectorate for Emergencies, Liliana Puscaşu, said that it is about the villages from Orhei and Teleneşti districts. "Specialized brigades work in the territory to reconnect consumers," Puscasu said.
The head of the State Road Administration's Operational Service, Sergiu Capatina, said that all routes in the country are passable. "During the night, 55 technical units and 76 workers were involved in road cleansing and the scrapping of anti-skidding material, using nearly 420 tons of anti-skid material. All hazardous sectors are continuously monitored by road managers," Capatina said.
The head of the weather forecasts centre of the State Hydrometeorological Service, Ghenadie Rosca, said that the weather cools in the coming days. “Snow will fall in some areas. On 26-27 November, sleet is forecast mainly in the northern and southern regions,” Rosca said.
On icy roads, drivers are urged to move slowly in and out of the towns, and keep a greater distance between cars. Also, rescuers urge drivers to keep a shovel, sand and chains in the trunk of the car. It is also advisable to charge the mobile phone battery, and in case of emergency, people can call the 112 service.
