Liquid gas price increases by 0.30-0.40 lei at some fuel supply stations in Moldova

Chisinau, 21 November /MOLDPRES/ - The price of liquid gas has increased by an average of 0.38 lei per one litre to 11.50 lei at some fuel supply stations, while other companies keep the price of 11.10 lei for one litre. Market operators reason the price increase by a high demand for this fuel on the cold period of the year.

Officials of the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) said that the price for liquid gas was established by oil companies independently, having at the basis the selling wholesale prices and the sale retail expenses. Starting from 1 July 2016, ANRE has no longer been in charge of capping the retail selling price of the liquid gas.

A draft law meant to regulate the ceiling prices for liquid gas is in parliament at present.
