Moldovan parliament speaker to pay working visit to Romania

Chisinau, 23 November /MOLDPRES/ – Speaker of Parliament, Andrian Candu, will pay a working visit to Romania on 26 – 27 November 2018. The visit agenda by the final of mandate has been discussed at the meeting of the SP with the Romanian Ambassador to Moldova, Daniel Ionita, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
The Speaker thanked Ambassador Ionita for the projects carried out in Moldova, in particular being announced that there have already been renovated 845 kindergartens with the support of the Government of Romania.
The discussions also focused on the takeover by Romania of the rotating EU Council Presidency in 2019, which will be an opportunity to capitalise on the European aspirations of Moldova, both by assisting in the implementation of internal reforms and by the balanced messages transmitted within the EU structures, about the domestic situation in Moldova.
Andrian Candu highlighted the interest of authorities in organising some fair, democratic and transparent elections in 2019, according to internationally accepted standards, as well as ensuring a pro – European majority in the Parliament and Government after the parliamentary elections.
There is to remind that the first visit of Andrian Candu as head of the Parliament of Moldova was to Bucharest.
