Moldovan veterans to have right to attendant at rehabilitation centres

Chisinau, 23 November /MOLDPRES/ - The persons with severe disabilities in the wake of war will have right, once in a year, to attendant at rehabilitation centres, according to legislative amendments adopted by the parliament in the first and second readings today.
Under the document, the persons with severe disabilities in the wake of the World War II, Transnistria War, Afghanistan war and Chernobyl accident will be able to be accompanied at treatment in sanatoriums once per year. Their attendants will also receive free of charge tickets.
The new amendments also provide additional measures of social protection of husbands/wives and parents of the dead participants in the World War II, combat actions in peace time and Chernobyl accident relief works. Thus, the parents of these categories will benefit from monthly state social allocations worth 500 lei, the husbands – 250 lei. They will also be able to receive an annual material assistance worth 1,000 lei.
The draft will enter into force on 1 January 2019.
