Twenty six families from south Moldova district have own dwellings due to First Home programme

Chisinau, 23 November /MOLDPRES/ – Twenty six families in Cahul district can enjoy their own dwellings due to programme: Prima Casa (First Home). On 23 November, during a visit to Cahul, Prime Minister, Pavel Filip, has met with its beneficiaries of, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
"We have confronted the issue of youth leaving, but many are leaving the impossibility of buying their own dwelling. That is why the Government has set out to come up with the First Home programme, and I am glad it is extending. It is important for us to stay at home," said PM.
The Premier was interested in the opinion of beneficiaries upon conditions for granting loans and listened to the proposals to improve the programme. At their turn, the beneficiaries thanked for the First Home programme, noting that both the participation terms and amount of financial contribution are appropriate for them. Until now, most of them paid large sums for rent. In the context, the PM urged families to apply to programmes First Home 2 and First Home 3, which provides for 50 per cent offsetting from the state budget of the mortgage loan for families with three children and 100 per cent for those with four children.
The First Home programme was launched in March 2018 at the initiative of PM Pavel Filip. Until present, as many as 810 beneficiaries have purchased dwellings under the programme, out of which 586 are young families and 224 unmarried ones. Totally, the loans amounting to over MDL 380 million were offered, and the amount of state guarantees is almost MDL 190 million. Most requests are registered in municipalities Chisinau and Balti, but also in Cahul, Ungheni and Comrat districts.
