1. Events in Moldova

Saturday  

The ombudswoman for the rights of the child, Maria Banarescu, invites to a national conference, Ten years for rights of the child in Moldova, and Children’s Forum, at the Palace of the Republic at 9:00.

Twelve teams participating in the biggest entrepreneurship school in the IT sector in Moldova, Startup Academy powered by Tekwill, make presentations of products and business ideas carried out during the programme, at the Centre of Excellence in the Information Technologies and Communications Sector Tekwill, at 12:00-12:30, 13:00-14:00.

A delicious culinary show dedicated to the star of the Italian cuisine – Pizza, is held at the Shopping Malldova trade centre at 13:00.

The event culminates with a master-class offered by the triple winner of the World Pizza Championship – Gianni Di Lella.       

2. Moldovan missions abroad

Prime Minister Pavel Filip pays a visit to Kiev, Ukraine, to participate in an international forum and a solemn ceremony on commemoration of the victims of Holodomor (man-made famine in the Soviet Ukraine).

The Days of the Ion Creanga National Library for Children end with a gala of the best readers, during which the laureates of the contest Model-Reader, the 13th issue, are to be awarded prizes, at 11:00.

Media representatives are invited to a public meeting of the Court of Accounts (CCRM), to hear a report of the follow-up mission on the implementation of requirements and recommendations approved under the Court’s Decision No 26 from 5. July 2016 on the audit reports on the compliance of the budgetary exercise and management of the public patrimony at the local public entities from the northern Briceni district for 2015, at the CCRM at 10:00.

The Law Centre of Women, with the support of the U.S. Embassy in Moldova, organizes a public event aimed at promoting the idea of the community and competent professionals getting involved in diminishing the phenomenon of domestic violence. The event consists in the assembling of a puzzle with a picture suggesting unity and joint contribution to the fight against this phenomenon, at the Shopping Malldova trade centre at 14:00.
