First beneficiaries of subsidies in advance receive money in Moldova

Chisinau, 24 November /MOLDPRES/ - The first four contracts on providing subsidies in advance worth 2.3 million lei have been already signed just in the first week after certificates on offering financing were handed.
The schedule of payments in advance is meant for young people and women farmers who start businesses in agriculture. The projects proposed by applicants will generate investments amounting to over four million lei in the agro-industrial sector and will create about ten new jobs, the Agency of Intervention and Payments in Agriculture (AIPA) said.
Twenty seven investment projects have been accepted following the first stage of files’ reception in all, for which the state will pay subsidies worth 13 million lei. The money will be spent for the creation of multiannual plantations, production of vegetables on protected ground, modernization of the animal husbandry sector and development of the post-harvesting industry.
This year, 45 million lei was allocated for the providing of subsidies in advance to young people and women developing businesses in agriculture. The potential beneficiaries must work out a feasible business plan in a rural settlement. The overall value of the project proposed should not exceed one million lei. Sixty five per cent of the expenses provided for in the project will be covered by the state and another 35 per cent will be invested by the idea’s author.
