Public transport to move on separate lanes in Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 26 November /MOLDPRES/ - The trolley buses and buses will move on separates lanes in the centre of Chisinau. The acting general mayor of Chisinau, Ruslan Codreanu, made statements to this effect at a weekly meeting of the city hall’s services today.

According to the acting mayor, the lanes meant for the public transport will be marked on the blvd Stefan cel Mare and the streets Al. Pushkin and Metropolitan Banulescu-Bodoni.

„I want us to try to ease the public transport and provide comfort to all passengers by the observance of the movement schedule. We will see the results of this project’s implementation and how citizens will react. At the same time, we want to see whether the special lane will help us observe the schedule and the speed,” Codreanu said.

The local authorities noted that the project would be extended, if it proves to be efficient.
