Moldovan parliament speaker pays last official of current mandate to Romania

Chisinau, 26 November /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu pays a visit to Romania on 26-27 November 2018. This is the last official visit in the current mandate of parliament speaker, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
Andrian Candu has said that his first official visit as parliament speaker was made also to Romania. “I want to end my mandate just as I started it – by a visit to Bucharest, during which I am to express appreciation to the authorities of Romania for everything they have done for Moldova on this period,” the parliament speaker said.
The visit’s agenda includes meetings with President of the Senate Calin Popescu-Tariceanu, President of the Chamber of Deputies Liviu Dragnea, Royal Family of Romania. Andrian Candu will also have meetings with the management of the National Bank of Romania, as well as with the Bucharest-based ambassadors accredited for Moldova.
In 2019, Romania will take over the rotating presidency of the Council of the EU, which might represent an opportunity for turning to good account Moldova’s European aspirations.
