Moldova's local authorities have anti-skid material for half winter

Chisinau, 26 November /MOLDPRES/ - The municipal enterprise Exdrupo has prepared anti-skid material for a half of winter. The enterprise’s head, Adrian Boldurescu, made statements to this effect at a today’s meeting of the Chisinau city hall’s services.

According to local authorities, the stocks are to be fully supplemented till 20 December. “The equipments have been repaired and are prepared to intervene. We will work at a higher pace, in order not to have blocked roads,” Boldurescu said.

According to Exdrupo’s data, 1,800 tons of anti-skid material has been used since the beginning of the cold season.

The State Hydrometeorological Service announced Yellow Code of complicated weather conditions for 26-27 November. Rains and sleet are expected on these days. Today evening and on the night of 27 November, heavy precipitation is forecast (the quantity of precipitation is seen to be 15-20 litres/square metre and the snow layer is to reach 10-15 cm). Glazed frost is expected in some places. Roads will be covered with ice.
