Moldovan foreign minister meets head of Chinese enterprises

Chisinau, 27 November /MOLDPRES/- Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Tudor Ulianovschi had a meeting with Head of Chinese enterprises in Germany Ming Yang, and discussed cooperation prospects and the government's interest in drawing foreign investments in the country's economy, reiterating willingness for a constructive dialogue with Chinese and German business, the MAEIE’s press service has reported.

Ulianovschi reviewed the latest reforms promoted by the Moldovan government to improve the business environment by creating best conditions for business development, drawing investments and ensuring their security. He referred to the success stories of foreign investors, including German and Chinese companies operating in Moldova, including in free economic zones, and noted the interest and willingness to expand direct communication with business and business associations in Germany to attract new investment projects.

The officials exchanged views on opportunities to promote Moldovan exports on the Chinese market, including turning to good account the cooperation opportunities through the Belt and Road programme, involving Chinese companies in various national projects on modernization of road infrastructure, energy security and digital education in Moldova.

For his part, Yang supported the development and implementation of concrete projects in areas of common interest. He noted that participation in the Moldova Business Week 2018 Forum aims at collecting facts about priority branches of Moldovan economy, market potential, preferential conditions, which could develop various cooperation projects with the country.
