Grants are meant for grape producers intending to set and disseminate technologies and practices for production of grapes, as well as for agricultural producer organizations, research and development institutions.
The total budget for this activity is 2.15 million lei, the selected beneficiaries will benefit from individual amounts between 300 and 600 thousand lei.
The grants will be offered especially for setting up plantations using Tendone / Pergola or Gable intensive production systems; installing the anti-hail and / or anti-rain net in these plantations; purchase of specialized machinery and equipment for the intensive production of table grapes, etc.
The financial support for the local grape producers will be offered via the USAID project – High Performance Agriculture in Moldova. In 2018, the program provided grant support and technical assistance for the establishment of four Tendone / Pergola and Gable demonstration plots in the Cahul, Ialoveni and Criuleni districts, which showed encouraging results on the potential of these systems in Moldova and served as a basis for including these technologies in the support measures of the National Fund for Agriculture and Rural Development.
