Moldova, Turkey to boost cooperation in military training sector

Chisinau, 28 November /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova and Turkey will boost cooperation in the military training sector, under an additional agreement between the two states, approved by the government today.
The agreement represents a revised variant of the accord from 2001. The agreement regulates aspects dealing with the training of staff in military academies and schools, mutual exchange of students and teachers between education institutions, participation in joint military exercises, cooperation in aspects of training in the fields of logistics, military medicine and health, exchange of information on military actions at law.
According to Defence Minister Eugen Sturza, the spending due to appear following the agreement’s implementation will be borne at the expense and within the limit of the Defence Ministry’s annual budget.
The agreement was signed for a period of five years, with possibility to extend it.
The additional agreement between the Defence Ministry of Moldova and the General Staff of Turkey on cooperation in the military sector was signed in Chisinau on 17 October 2018.
