More than 550,000 pensioners to receive 600 lei each before holidays in Moldova

Chisinau, 28 November /MOLDPRES/ - The persons having a pension lower than 2,000 lei will receive a one-off financial aid worth 600 lei on behalf of the state. Thus, the pensioners will have an additional income on the eve of the winter holidays. The cabinet approved a draft to this effect today, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

About 553,000 persons will benefit from the assistance. Most of them, 400,000, are beneficiaries of age limit pensions. The others are beneficiaries of disability pensions, survivor pensions and about 600 persons are seasoned military or members of their families.

The one-off support will be provided to pensioners in next December. About 335 million lei will be earmarked from the state budget to this end.
