Chisinau, 29 November /MOLDPRES/- Citizens of the Republic of Moldova and of the Republic of Turkey will be able to travel on the basis of the identity card. The parliament ratified today the protocol signed in Chisinau on October 17, between the two countries' governments on the mutual abolition of visas.
The document stipulates that citizens of Moldova and Turkey will have the right to enter the states for the same period of stay as in the case of travel based on passports. Those who want to travel for more than 90 days, students or those planning to work will be required to get a visa.
Since 2014, on the basis of the Agreement between the Moldovan and Turkish governments on the reciprocal abolition of visas, the citizens of both countries are exempted from the visa requirement for entry, exit, transit and temporary stay in the two states for up to 90 days.
