Moldovan deputy PM has meeting with co – chair of Parliamentary Assembly Euronest

Chisinau, 29 November /MOLDPRES/ – Deputy PM, Cristina Lesnic, has had today a meeting with MEP, co – chair of the Parliamentary Assembly Euronest, Rebecca Harms, the office for reintegration policy’s information and media communication service has reported.

During the meeting, there were addressed the existing situation in the Transnistrian settlement negotiations and developments on this dimension.

There have been also discussed the recent events in Ukraine. Rebecca Harms voiced concerns about the escalation of tensions between Russia and Ukraine, pleading for a speedy relief of situation.

Also, the official said that the European Parliament took a stand on the situation in Ukraine and would further promote the need to respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine in accordance with the provisions of the international treaties in force.

At the end of the meeting, the two officials expressed the willingness to maintain and strengthen cooperation on various issues of common interest.
