Several cultural institutions in Chisinau to be illuminated in colors of Romanian flag

Chisinau, 1 December /MOLDPRES/- On the occasion of the National Day of Romania and the 100th anniversary of the Unification of 1918 (Centenary of the Great Union), as a sign of gratitude for the continuous support offered to the Republic of Moldova, the buildings of several cultural institutions in Chisinau (National Arts Museum, National Museum of History, Mihai Eminescu National Theater, National Library, Academy of Music, Theater and Fine Arts) will be illuminated on the evening of 1 December in the colors of Romania's flag.

"Cooperation in the fields of education, culture and research between the Republic of Moldova and Romania has over the years been an extremely beautiful success, which materialized in tangible and important projects: repairs and endowment of 845 kindergartens, donation of about 200 school minibuses, rehabilitation of the National Museum of Art building; restoration of the Organ Hall; the construction of the new building of the Bogdan Petriceicu Haşdeu Theater in Cahul; offering scholarships for young people in our country, etc. Through all these concrete actions, Romania has significantly contributed to the modernization of the educational system and to the promotion and protection of the cultural heritage of the Republic of Moldova ", according to the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research.

In the centenary year, the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research of Moldova, in partnership with the Ministry of Culture and National Identity of Romania, the Ministry for Romanians Abroad and the Eudoxiu Hurmuzachi Institute for Romanians everywhere organized several important cultural activities:

International Book Fair "BookFest"; meeting of National Theatres, 4th issue, International Book Fair for Children and Youth, 22nd edition; Romanian Film Days in Chisinau, 4th edition; Conference "Romanian Cultural Heritage - Centenary 2018", 3rd edition, endowment of public libraries with Romanian book of value and topicality; exhibitions, book launches, concerts and shows organized at the most important cultural institutions in our country, etc.
