Chisinau, 03 December /MOLDPRES/ – Twelve people with disabilities were the protagonists of a photo exhibition: The people who inspire, which was opened today in Chisinau on the International day of people with disabilities.
The event was attended by several officials including the State Secretary of the Ministry of Healthcare, Labour and Social Protection, Viorica Dumbraveanu.
According to the state secretary of the Ministry of Healthcare, Labour and Social Protection, the exhibition aims to support persons with disabilities and their involvement in community life, as well as to combat stereotypes by creating an inclusive and accessible society.
"We are at the second issue of the exhibition, and these photos transmit the emotions and messages of the protagonists, which throughout a single picture managed to tell their story. They are models of life that, with the support of their beloved ones, managed to realise their dreams," added Dumbraveanu.
The event was organised by the Alliance of Organisations for People with Disabilities in Moldova (AOPD) and the Media Centre for Youth in partnership with MSMPS, with the financial support of the IM Swedish Development Partner.
The photos are exhibited between 03 – 11 December, at B. P. Hasdeu Municipal Library.
