Border police officers to actively operate during winter holidays

Chisinau, 4 December /MOLDPRES/- Border police officers will work under increased regime during the winter holidays to avoid queues. Prime Minister Pavel Filip made the statement at the today’s weekly meeting of the Democratic Party of Moldova.

According to Filip, the Border Police leadership today presented the way of activity during the holidays and the actions due to be taken to ease traffic at customs.

"We also discussed the preparation of state institutions for the winter holidays. We need to ensure the effective functioning of the institutions during this period. We spoke first of all about what will happen at the border, because at this time we have a lot of fellow citizens returning home to visit their relatives and to be with their loved ones. Statistics show that during this time of last year, over one million people came to the country ", he said.
