Chisinau, 4 December /MOLDPRES/ - The state has enough money, so that all those 200,000 public sector employees will receive increased salaries in time, under the new wage payment law. Prime Minister Pavel Filip made statements to this effect at the end of the Moldovan Democratic Party’s (PDM) weekly meeting today.
The PM noted that all acts needed had been already worked out at the government, Finance Ministry, so that all public sector employees receive the increased salaries in time.
“First of all, over 120 civil servants will go to areas and will have meetings with accountants and will hold trainings. Practically 40 institutions will be for one civil servant. A call center will work at the Finance Ministry, where everybody will be able to call when having questions as to the enforcement of this wage payment law,” Filip said.
According to the new amendments, starting from 1 December, about 200,000 public sector employees will receive increased salaries, with 1.3 billion lei earmarked from the state budget to this end.
