Well-known Moldovan journalist passes away

Chisinau, 4 December /MOLDPRES/ - Journalist Boris Erusevschi died at the age of almost 63 years, in the wake of a heart attack, on 3 December.
Boris Erusevschi was born in the Sangerei town, northern Moldova, on 22 December 1955. In 1978, he graduated from the journalism department of the Moldovan State University’s Philology Faculty and was afterwards sent to the State Committee on Radio Broadcasting and Television. Erusevschi started his work as editor at the radio, musical editorial office. He won the respect of his colleagues and the likings of the audience due to the programmes: Sunday Phono-kaleidoscope, Traveler’s Hour, Favourite Songs, etc.
Later on, Boris Erusevschi moved to work at the TV. Thus, he dedicated 27 years to the National Television. He was TV commentator; he made social, cultural and entertainment programmes. Erusevschi was one of the founders of the informative programme Mesager, described by specialists as a programme with high impact in the history of the Moldovan journalism. Boris Erusevschi was director of the News Department and Culture Department at TV. In the last years, he has worked as head of the press service of the National Financial Market Commission and as deputy editor-in-chief of the Capital Market newspaper.
Contacted by MOLDPRES, TV journalist Silvia Hodorogea said that Boris Erusevschi had been a balanced, harmonious man and a good professional. “During the years of national liberation and revival, he was in the team of Mesager. He was a learned man, full of new ideas and initiatives,” Hodorogea added.
For his part, the former director of the Moldova 1 TV station, Mircea Surdu, said that Boris Erusevschi had been a rare good-natured and decent man. “He was my chief when being at the head of the Culture Department. Erusevschi was a non-conflicting man. He was kind by nature, from his ancestors,” Mircea Surdu stressed.
The coffin with the corpse of Boris Erusevschi will be placed at the Saint Theodora of Sihla Cathedral from Chisinau on 5 December at 17:00. The journalist will be buried at the new cemetery from the Durlesti town, Chisinau municipality, on 6 December.
