Owners of apartments equipped with electric stoves to get compensation of 25% of bills

Chisinau, 5 December /MOLDPRES/- Residents of the capital, whose apartments are equipped with electric stoves, according to the initial project of the residential building, will benefit from compensations of 25% of the bills for electricity.

According to the city hall, payment will be provided for November and December 2018.

The head of the general housing and planning directorate, Ion Burdiumov, said that in the capital there are about 270 dwelling blocks equipped with electric stoves, according to the initial building project.

"Compensation aimed to support citizens in paying the services during the cold season. For compensations during November-December 2018, four million lei was allocated from the municipal budget. Subsequently, local authorities will decide whether people will continue to get such compensation," Burdiumov said.

Compensation documents can be submitted to municipal housing fund managers, block administrators and city halls for the citizens of the respective administrative territories.

The list of documents includes a certificate issued by the manager of the block of flats, confirming that the building is equipped with electric stoves. Applications can be submitted by late 2018.

Payment of the compensation will be made by transfer and the money will be given to the beneficiaries in cash.
