Chisinau, 5 December /MOLDPRES/ - All information recorded at the single 112 Service will be stocked for a period of up to ten years in an automated information system, which has worked in a testing regime so far. This will allow a better management of data, elaborating statistics, as well as optimizing the work of the 112 Service. The cabinet today approved a regulation on the way of keeping the state register developed by the automated information system of the single national service of emergency calls 112 (RS 112).
The government’s communication and protocol department has reported that the document regulates the process of management of RS 112, which is the official source of systematized data on the emergency calls and notifications received from citizens. The document contains the description of emergency situations, information about the victim, place of the caller, term in which the reaction took place and the result of the intervention of specialized emergency services.
Also, the regulation establishes the obligations of the institutions involved in the creation and keeping of the Register. Thus, the Economics and Infrastructure Ministry, as owner of RS 112, will ensure the management of the Register. The accumulation of data, as well as the filling of cards of the emergency calls will be provided by the 112 Service. At the same time, the providers of information for RS 112 will be the Interior Ministry, Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry, as well as the Defence Ministry.
The access to the Register will be provided to specialized institutions based on an application, by specifying the family name, first name and office held by the applicant. At the same time, the Regulation also contains measures meant to ensure the security and confidentiality of data processed.
