Chisinau, 6 December /MOLDPRES/- Starting from 1 January 2019, people with pensions of less than 1,589 lei will get up by 10%. The promulgation decree and the law for the additional financial support of some pension beneficiaries will be published in the Official Journal of Moldova on 7 December.
To implement the project, about 567 million lei is needed in 2019. The money will be earmarked from the state budget or the state social insurance budget, depending on the source of pension funding. The increase will not affect the other social benefits enjoyed by people with low pensions, including social assistance for the cold season.
