Public service for issuance of driver's licence to be modernized in Moldova

Chisinau, 6 December /MOLDPRES/ - The public services for the issuance of driver’s licence, providing the unemployment benefit, establishing the disability and capacity to work are to be modernized and transparentized. The provision is included in an action plan for open governance 2019-2020, due to be published in the 7 December issue of the Official Journal (Monitorul Oficial) of Moldova. 

The document includes actions dealing with ensuring of the transparency of public procurement, publishing open data in due time and promoting its use by the civil society. The plan was worked out in order to ensure responsible and efficient governance.  

In this respect, decision-makers are to develop mechanisms of electronic participation in the decision-taking process, with the placement of the information of interest for the civil society in the online environment. At the same time, actions will be organized to inform citizens and business environment’s representatives about the use of public electronic services. The programmes, Diaspora’s Groups of Excellence and Government Closer to You, will be implemented, in order to involve also Moldova’s citizens who left abroad in the decision-making process.

The document will improve authorities’ dialogue with the civil society and will develop capacities of civil servants as to the open governance, the project’s authors said.
