Moldovan speaker attends launch of Moldovan-American business council

Chisinau, 7 December /MOLDPRES/- Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu participated in the launch of the Moldovan-American Business Council in Washington, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.

Candu pointed out the importance of council, which will boost the talks between the business environment from the United States and the Republic of Moldova, noting the existing commercial opportunities and the opportunity to turn to good account the flows of bilateral investments. Among the areas of major interest for our country, the speaker mentioned IT and agrifood products. According to him, the Moldovan-American Business Council will strengthen the bilateral transatlantic partnership on the commercial-economic dimension.

The first meeting of the Moldovan-American Business Council took place in the margin of the third meeting of the Moldovan-American Joint Economic Cooperation Committee. Its goal is to promote economic exchanges, support investors and back economic operators in the two countries.

Candu is paying a working visit to Washington on 4-8 December.
