Moldovan foreign minister meets Czech counterpart

Chisinau, 7 December /MOLDPRES/- The importance of boosting political dialogue and strengthening bilateral relations both in the economic and sectoral spheres was discussed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Tudor Ulianovschi and his Czech counterpart Tomáš Petříček on the sidelines of the OSCE Ministerial Council in Milan, the MAEIE’s pres service has reported.
The sides have found the very good level of bilateral cooperation based on traditional friendship relations between our countries, noting the identification of new opportunities for multidimensional cooperation at both bilateral level and within different international organizations.
The main topics of the discussions focused on priority issues on the European agenda of the Republic of Moldova and the Transnistrian conflict settlement process, as well as topical issues of the regional and international agenda.
At the same time, Ulianovschi praised the pragmatic support of the Czech Republic through the Development Cooperation Program 2018-2023 in areas vital for the sustainable development of the Republic of Moldova, such as good governance, agriculture and rural development, sustainable management of natural resources, social development etc.
Tomáš Petříček noted the importance of real progress in implementing the reform process under the EU-Moldova Association Agreement, encouraging Moldova to pursue ambitiously the pro-European path.
