Moldovan foreign affairs ministry issues warning of travel to Turkey

Chisinau, 8 December /MOLDPRES/ - The Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry (MAEIE) informs Moldova’s citizens who are in Turkey, transit or want to travel to this country about the fact that the Turkish authorities prepare the transition of the flights from the Atatürk Airport from Istanbul to the New Istanbul Airport, the MAEIE press service has reported.

The entire procedure will take place as follows:

· The taking over of the activities and flights of the Atatürk Airport from Istanbul by the New Istanbul Airport will start on 30 December 2018, at 0:00 and will end on 31 December 2018, at 21:00.

· After 31 December 2018, 21:00, the Atatürk Airport from Istanbul will be closed for the air routes of the commercial domestic and international flights.

On this occasion, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry recommends that Moldova’s citizens who are in Turkey, transit or plan to travel to this country quite attentively verify the airport of departure/destination/transit and the schedule of flights.
