Deputy PM participates in inauguration of stationary scanner installed in customs post of northern district of Moldova

Chisinau, 08 December /MOLDPRES/ – Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration, Cristina Lesnic, has visited Ocnita city today, where she participated in inauguration ceremony of the most efficient stationary scanner in the region, installed in the Ocnita – feroviar customs post, meant to inspect the goods carried on the railroad, the office for reintegration policy’s information and media communication service has reported.
The event also featured the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Moldova, Zhang Yinghong, vice President of Chinese company Nuctech, Jianmin Li, and Customs Service Director, Vitalie Vrabie.
The equipment was installed as part of a technical assistance project funded by the Government of China. It is scanning system: Nuctech TMRF 6010, designed to inspect the goods transported by railroad.
Present at the festive ceremony, deputy PM for Reintegration, Cristina Lesnic, mentioned that "The Government of Moldova invests in the security sector and improvement of its services. The use of modern technologies will offer the possibility of eliminating errors and enhancing efficiency throughout effective, fair and reasonable customs control. We hope that this experience will be applied over time throughout Moldova. We are grateful to development partners, especially Chinese authorities, which have made this project a real initiative made available to the Customs Service (SV)," said deputy PM.
It is worth mentioning that, due to superior technical parametres, the installation permits detection of all types of undeclared goods in the moving train lining, regardless of how it is shrouded or camouflaged.
