Reading contest nominates winners in Moldova

Chisinau, 08 December /MOLDPRES/ – The 4th issue of reading contest: The battle of books, which took place in March – October 2018, organised by the Municipal library B. P. Hasdeu in Chisinau, in partnership with the County library Octavian Goga in Cluj, Romania, has today nominated the winners in the adolescent segment.
Interviewed by agency, director of library B. P. Hasdeu, Mariana Harjevschi, mentioned that the contest purpose is to stimulate reading among children and teenagers to promote valuable books for two age groups: children (11 – 14) and teenagers (14 – 18).
The literary critic Maria Pilchin, a member of the jury, said that there were selected 15 competitors for final stage. "In addition to having a well – grounded speech, children have demonstrated that they can improvise and answer all the questions correctly. Also, I have noticed that they are sensitive to some general human values, such as life, love, etc.", said Maria Pilchin.
The reading contest: The battle of books started in 2015. On 09 December at the Municipal library B. P. Hasdeu, it will take place the final stage of contest in category of children.
