Two hospitals to have new equipment due to Japanese support

Chisinau, 11 December /MOLDPRES/- Falesti District Hospital and the Prenatal Center of Edineţ District Hospital will benefit from a grant from the Japanese government for the purchase of medical equipment.
The grant contracts for procurement of equipment were signed yesterday by Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection Silvia Radu and Ambassador of Japan to Moldova Masanobu Yoshii.
“The government of Japan is the reliable partner of Moldova in modernizing medical services. The 10 years of collaboration have brought multiple benefits to the health sector. Thanks to the Kusanone program, in many of the medical institutions in the country, we have modern equipment that contributes significantly to quality of care and saving of patients' lives,” Radu said.
Falesti equipment amounted to 83,279 dollars and for the Prenatal Center of Edinet District Hospital - 60,504 dollars.
The health sector in Moldova benefits from assistance under the Kusanone Program since 2008.
37 projects worth over 3 million dollars have been implemented so far.
