Number of voters on electoral rolls - 3.2 million citizens

Chisinau, 11 December /MOLDPRES/- The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) announced that the total number of voters registered in the State Electoral Register is 3.2 million citizens.

According to the Commission, women represent 52.66% of the total number of voters - 1.7 million and men 47.34% - 1.5 million.

Out of the total, only 2.8 million citizens eligible to vote are assigned to administrative-territorial units. The difference includes people who have Moldovan citizenship, but do not have registration at home, those who have gone abroad - about 210 thousand people and citizens residing on the left bank of the Dniester - over 230 thousand people.

At the same time, according to the data presented by the Public Services Agency, there are about 100,000 citizens aged over 18 who have gone abroad.
