Moldovan national philharmonic to host gala of laureates of TV festival, contest of folk music

Chisinau, 11 December /MOLDPRES/ - Eighteen singers and instrumentalists will perform at the gala of laureates of a TV festival and contest of young folk music singers, Folclor Orchestra Presents, the fourth issue, due at the Chisinau-based Serghei Lunchevici National Philharmonic on 13 December at 18:00.
Contacted by MOLDPRES, the director of the festival, Merited Artist, singer Silvia Goncear said that the festival was aimed at promoting young folk music singers, the authentic folklore and national costume. For his part, the artistic director and first conductor of the Folclor Orchestra, head of the jury, master Petre Neamtu stressed that, from one issue to another, the festival had continuity and gathered more and more singers.
”We have quite gifted young singers. They represent a real treasure of our nation. We try to promote them; we will do this time again, through the Moldova 1 TV station, so that people know them. Especially instrumentalists, whom the public does not quite know,” Petre Neamtu added.
The event is organized by the National Philharmonic, in cooperation with the Folclor and the Teleradio-Moldova public company, in partnership with the Mihai Eminescu Romanian Cultural Institute from Chisinau.
