Forty six Moldovan parties to be able to take part in elections on 24 February 2019

Chisinau, 11 December /MOLDPRES/ – Forty six parties will be able to participate in the parliamentary elections on 24 February 2019. The list of parties has been made public by the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) today.
According to the list, the parties that can take part in the parliamentary elections include the Democratic Party of Moldova (PDM), Party of Communists of Moldova (PCRM), Liberal Party (PL, Party of Socialists of Moldova (PSRM), Political party Sor, Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova (PLDM), European People's Party of Moldova (PPEM), and our European partners in Moldova, Political Party Platform for Dignity and Truth (PPDA), Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS), etc.
Also, the CEC announced that in the case of 25 political parties, the leaders' term has expired. Against this background, the Commission asked the parties to adjust the info on the mandate of the party leader in the Registry of political parties (RPP), held by the Public Services Agency (ASP).
The parliamentary elections were set for 24 February 2019 and they will be held after a mixed electoral system, the MPs being elected both on party lists, as well as in uninominal constituencies.
