New version of Civil Code published in Official Journal of Moldova

Chisinau, 14 December /MOLDPRES/- The new version of the Civil Code was published today in the Official Journal of Moldova.

The new regulations see that the national legal infrastructure will be upgraded according to European and international trends.

The amendments are set in Book 4 – Heritage, which will include provisions for dividing the inheritance into the legal and testamentary.

The new version of the Civil Code will also include rules on consumer protection. Several obligations have been supplemented and amended, including those in the construction investment contract.

For the elaboration of the new Civil Code, a working group has been set up which has been working for over four years in over 70 sessions.

The same issue included the presidential decree on the promulgation of the Law on modernization of the Civil Code.
