Chisinau, 14 December /MOLDPRES/ - The fourth issue of a TV festival and contest of folk music, Folclor Orchestra Presents, has nominated its laureates. A ceremony of handing the prizes and a gala concert took place at the Chisinau-based Serghei Lunchevici National Philharmonic on 13 December evening.

Contacted by MOLDPRES, the director of the aforementioned festival, singer Silvia Goncear said that the festival was aimed at promoting young folk music singers and the authentic popular costume. For his part, the artistic director, first conductor of the Folclor orchestra, head of the jury, master Petre Neamtu stressed that, from one issue to another, the festival had continuity and brought together more and more singers.

”We have quite gifted young singers. They represent a real treasure of our nation. We try to promote them on stage, so that people know them. Especially instrumentalists, whom the audience does not quite have where to know from,” Petre Neamtu stressed.

The Grand Prize of the festival went to Damian Spinei (canto) and Cezar-Petru Bordian (panpipe).

The holders of the Grand Prize at the third issue of the festival, singer Alexandra-Diana Dan from Romania and Eugen Verhovetchi (accordion) from Moldova, gave a recital.
