Moldova's territorial police inspectorate receive 30 new vehicles

Chisinau, 14 December /MOLDPRES/ – Thirty police cars have been assigned today to criminal prosecution teams within all territorial police units.
The vehicles were transmitted by the head of the General Police Inspectorate (PGI), Alexandru Pinzari.
"The acquisition of the batch comes to strengthen police capabilities at the level of reaction. The vehicles are equipped with new protective equipment, kits and new instruments for the collection of samples on the spot. With this acquisition we will be more efficient, faster, and the evidence will be of higher quality," said Pinzari.
Also, the head of the PGI thanked the European partners and colleges who worked on the realisation and implementation of this project. "The new cars were very necessary. They will ease and perfect the work of the people of the law in the territory. The automobiles will be allocated according to the number of employees working in the inspectorate, the crime rate and the number of citizens in the localities," said Alexandru Pinzari.
At the same time, PGI has three performing labs, used to investigate serious and exceptionally serious crimes. They are distributed in the northern, central and southern regions of Moldova.
The automobiles distributed today have a value of €1.2 million and were purchased under project: The budget support for police reform in Moldova. The project is funded by EU.
